Are you seeking a stimulating career in publishing? Do you have an interest in health and medicine?  We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Assistant Editor to help develop an innovative publishing program in clinical medicine. We are looking for a strong team player to assist two editors in acquiring and developing new titles. The job involves project tracking and communicating with authors, editors and contributors at all stages of a book’s development to ensure timely delivery; contract tracking; and assistance with project development as well as correspondence, filing, making travel arrangements and deputizing for the editors when they are away from the office.  The Assistant Editor will work closely with colleagues in Sales and Marketing, Production and other departments in a highly collaborative environment.  Superior communication skills are required.  Some experience with medicine or a healthcare subject area preferred, but not essential.
