The Product Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring the success for a select group of AIP publications and products, including both product development and marketing. This includes managing the product(s), gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements through market research, defining the product vision along with associated financial forecasts, driving the marketing strategies, marketing to authors, and working closely with internal business units and external third-party organizations. This position also includes responsibility for ensuring that the product development and marketing efforts support the overall strategies and goals of the Publisher’s Office. Candidate performance will be measured against each product’s success using various metrics.

·         Minimum of three years experience in scientific publishing, including product development, market research, budgeting, or editorial functions.

·         Demonstrated success defining and developing excellent products.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Bachelor's degree (physical science degree preferred).

·         Highly computer literate knowledge of/experience with internet-based scientific communication.

·         Excellent teamwork skills.

·         Must be able to travel.
