2007 Travel Grant Winners Announced

SSP is pleased to announce the 10 Travel Grant winners for 2007. This grant supports travel to and attendance at the SSP Annual Meeting for students of publishing and information science and early career publishing professionals in the first three years of employment.

Student Travel Awards

  • Sonya Fogg, Texas Woman’s University
  • Carolyn Hank, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Mary-Ann McHugh, Arizona State University

Early Career Travel Awards

  • David Hartogs, American Geophysical Union
  • Andrew Kenyon, SUNY Press
  • Shana Kimball, University of Michigan University Library
  • Antonio Montalvan, Capitol University Press, Philippines
  • Christine Polcino, Heldref Publications

Awardees will be paired with mentors who hold senior management positions within SSP member organizations. Mentors will help grantees plug into the educational and networking opportunities available at the 29th Annual Meeting, to be held June 6-8 in San Francisco.
