By Kent Anderson, Executive Director, International Business and Product Development, The New England Journal of Medicine
The Scholarly Kitchen, SSP's blog devoted to covering new research and trends in scholarly communication, continues to flourish. In early July, the blog surpassed 10,000 views of content. It has generated 82 comments on 116 posts as of July 9, 2008.
Notable posts recently have included examinations of how PLoS is using bulk publishing to create financial viability; the coinage of "pablumonium" in a post about how the FCC is proposing regulation of product placements; the Calgary OA fund; and massive data sets and new approaches to science.
Authors Kent Anderson, Philip Davis, and Howard Ratner post nearly every workday, and Fridays continue to provide lighter fare to round out the menu.
