Clays Ltd. Joins Sheridan and OPUS Group in the Content Delivery Alliance

December 10, 2013Hunt Valley, MD – The Sheridan Group (Sheridan) and The OPUS Group announce the addition of Clays Ltd. as the newest member of the Content Delivery Alliance (CDA). The CDA was created in 2011 to support the growing distribute and print need among international journal and book publishers.  Formed as an international strategic alliance among printers who share a similar commitment to quality, integrity, efficiency and service, the CDA provides a solution for regional and international customers who require content to be produced and delivered close to their customer base.

Clays Ltd, a division of St. Ives plc, is one of the most respected printers in the United Kingdom with a robust print platform that includes web, sheetfed and digital printing capabilities as well as extensive binding capabilities for both hard and soft cover books.   Additionally, Clays offers a comprehensive portfolio of publishing services, including value-added warehousing and fulfillment services. Like Sheridan and OPUS, Clays has a forward thinking approach to investing in strategic publisher service solutions, from workflow automation and efficient short-run manufacturing capabilities to complete warehouse and fulfillment offerings.

From their base in Bungay, UK, Clays Ltd. will service customers’ distribute and print book needs in the UK and Europe, Sheridan will support North America and The Opus Group will cover the Pacific region from facilities in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Kate McFarlan, Clays Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be part of the CDA with Sheridan and The Opus Group. We have, for many years, worked closely with our publishing customers to develop the most effective means of supplying books to retail and other outlets. To extend this offering to international markets is the next logical step for us and the CDA partnership is a great cultural fit.”
