SSP Introduces Regional Programming: Register Today for the Inaugural Lecture and Networking Event in Boston

The Society for Scholarly Publishing is commencing its new series of regional programming events with the lecture “Building Collaborations: Eight Tips for Effective Knowledge Networks,” on April 28, 2015, in Boston.

The topic of the evening will be “knowledge networks,” also known as “communities of practice”: networks across business units or organizations, which can serve as incubators, broad melting pots, and even lively arenas for confronting industry changes head-on in collaborative new ways. Kate Pugh, Academic Director of the Columbia University Information and Knowledge Strategy program and president of AlignConsulting, will discuss how knowledge networks bring about scale, reach, and diversity in collaborations—and how in turn they can accelerate time to market and improve productivity, leading to improved job satisfaction and career outlook for participants.

The event is free for SSP members and $15 for non-members. All are invited to network with other attendees before and after the lecture over light appetizers and beverages.
