Students and Early Career Professionals: Apply for a Travel Grant to Attend the 2015 Annual Meeting in Arlington, Virginia

SSP is currently welcoming applications for its 2015 Travel Grants, which will support travel to and attendance at the SSP 37th Annual Meeting, to be held May 27–29, in Arlington, Virginia.

This year, SSP will award up to 13 Travel Grants, offering

  • Complimentary registration to the SSP 37th Annual Meeting.
  • Eligibility for reimbursement of up to $1,300 in travel and lodging expenses. Applications from beyond North America are encouraged, and additional funding for travel is available to support overseas grant winners.
  • Complimentary membership in SSP for the remainder of 2015, which ensures member discounted rates for all other SSP training seminars and events.

Successful applicants are also matched with an industry mentor, who will help them get the most out of the Annual Meeting.

The deadline for 2015 applications is Tuesday, April 7th.

SSP invites applications from students of publishing and information science, together with early career professionals in the first three years of employment in the publishing and information industry.

Sounds like a great opportunity! How do I submit an application?

Applications must be submitted online. Grant winners will be selected on the strength of their responses to four questions included on the application form. Their resumes will also be taken into account. For the list of questions and a link to the application, visit the Travel Grants page in the Careers section of the SSP website. The deadline for 2015 applications is Tuesday, April 7th.
