October 11, 2019 – In Q2 2019, AJE hosted a series of workshops at top institutions in Colombia. The two workshops were delivered by AJE Operations Director, Dan Brosnan at Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Del Valle. The topics were centered around manuscript preparation and how to improve your academic writing in English.
“Presenting at Universidad del Valle and Universidad del Rosario in Cali and Bogotá, we had the opportunity to engage directly with researchers on topics ranging from effective writing to ethical considerations in publishing and to answer their questions that ranged from grammar specifics to the intricacies of resolving authorship disputes,” said Brosnan. “We were able to devote time not only to covering our prepared material but also to specific writing and publishing challenges that these researchers encounter in their professional lives and to reach groups that included not only AJE customers but also researchers who aren’t familiar with author services or who work with other providers that don’t provide education services.”
In an effort to support researchers during the publication process, AJE regularly presents educational material at institutions and conferences around the world. This trip marked the first visit to Colombia for the AJE team. The participants enjoyed the content and benefited greatly from the presentations.
