Cadmore Media Expands Management Team

October 27, 2020 – Bethesda, MD – Cadmore Media, the start-up streaming media platform for scholarly communication, announces the appointment of Jessica Lawrence-Hurt to Chief Marketing Officer, effective November 9. Lawrence-Hurt will build on the rapid growth Cadmore has experienced in its 2 ½ years since launch, focusing on brand positioning and establishing a global growth strategy.

Lawrence-Hurt has over 15 years’ experience in scholarly publishing, most recently at MIT Press, where she managed international sales and marketing, and previously as marketing director at Alexander Street Press.

Founded in 2018 by Violaine Iglesias, Simon Inger, and Neil Gilstrap, Cadmore has seen rapid demand for its ability to bring high-level expertise and best-in-class technology to scholarly societies and associations.

Recent client-partners using the Cadmore platform include the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, APA’s PsychTherapy video platform, EDP Sciences’ Visualized Cancer Medicine journal, and AIAA’s upcoming SciTech Forum.

“Cadmore offers a unique and innovative way to grow society revenue and impact, in a time when the need – and opportunity – could not be greater,” said Lawrence-Hurt. “I’m deeply impressed by the commitment of the team to creatively use technology in scholarly communication.”

“The past year has brought rapid change to all of us involved in disseminating knowledge, and Jessica’s appointment expands our ability to navigate future growth,” said Violaine Iglesias, Co-founder and CEO. “She brings a combination of strategic communication and marketing skills and a vision for engagement that make her the ideal addition to the Cadmore team.”
