Honoring SSP Members & Organizations Who Give for the Future

Founded in 1978, the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) is an independent and inclusive organization, welcoming everyone interested in scholarly communications. This allows us to support new voices regardless of professional affiliation. To continue fostering an inclusive and robust profession, we founded the Generations Fund to provide long-term resources for two critical program areas: leadership-workforce development and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Generations Fund is an endowment to provide sustainable funding for SSP’s  Fellowship, Mentoring, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs far into the future. A community is only as strong as its next generation of leaders, and endowed funds protect these vital programs from unforeseen events.

Since launching in October 2020, 133 individuals and organizations have given to this effort, pushing the fund to over $236,000, reaching 47% of our total campaign goal in just 15 months!
