Platinum Sponsor, Redlink, supports Professional Headshot Studio at upcoming 39th SSP Annual Meeting; helping to raise funds for SSP Fellowship Program

April 18, 2017 – Wheat Ridge, CO – RedLink will sponsor the Professional Headshot Studio as part of their Platinum Sponsorship at the 2017 Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) Annual Meeting to be held at the Westin Boston Waterfront in Boston, MA, May 31-June 2.

“RedLink is all about connecting the various players in the scholarly publishing ecosystem — libraries, publishers, platforms, agents, and others — and the SSP Annual Meeting is the premier event that brings everyone together.  We’ve chosen to sponsor the Professional Headshot Studio specifically to encourage those who haven’t yet joined RedLink Network to do so and to encourage all our members to add a picture to their profile!” said Nicola Poser, Managing Director, Redlink.

The SSP Annual Meeting has grown steadily in recent years and attendance is expected to attract up to 900 attendees in 2017.  The Professional Headshot Studio will give attendees the opportunity to update their professional profile picture.  For a nominal donation, they will get an electronic version of their professional photo to take with them.  Proceeds from the activity will benefit the SSP Fellowship Program which supports students and early-career professionals who are eager to develop their skills and learning experiences within the scholarly publishing community. The program provides multiple training and career development opportunities throughout the year, including attendance the Annual Meeting and pairing with a mentor.

“A professional headshot conveys a positive message to clients, employers, and recruiters. Redlink is helping us make it very convenient for attendees to update their professional profiles while supporting a great cause—the SSP Fellowship Program. We appreciate their support,” said Melanie Dolecheck, SSP Executive Director.

About SSP – The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP), founded in 1978, is a non-profit organization formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publication community through networking, information dissemination, and facilitation of new developments in the field.
