Rockefeller University Press Signs with Morressier for Neurodegeneration Symposium

March 30, 2021 – New York | Berlin – Rockefeller University Press has selected Morressier as its virtual conference provider for the Journal of Cell Biology (JCB) and Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM) Symposium on Neurodegeneration. The symposium will bring together prominent and diverse researchers on April 26–27, 2021, for talks and poster presentations covering the latest advances in fundamental and translational research on Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and other neurodegenerative disorders.

Neurodegenerative Diseases: Emerging mechanisms and Therapeutic opportunities,” will feature live-streamed presentations, networking, and a virtual poster hall. The Morressier platform also allows content to be hosted and searchable in an online library after the event, increasing its impact.

“Because so many meetings have switched to a virtual format over the past year, attendee expectations of the online experience have evolved,” says JCB Senior Scientific Editor Melina Casadio, a co-organizer of the neurodegeneration symposium. “We felt that Morressier’s interactive platform and its track record of working with scientific societies and institutions would enable us to provide the best virtual event. We look forward to engaging with attendees on the platform.”

Justus Weweler, Morressier Co-Founder and Director of Key Accounts, said: “Conferences play an essential role in the scientific process and the pivot to a virtual format provides a whole new way of discussing and exchanging conference content. We’re delighted to work with Rockefeller University Press to unlock the full value of the upcoming virtual JCB and JEM Symposium on Neurodegeneration. Together, we will ensure attendees have the tools they need to connect with their peers, share their critical findings, and make progress with their research.”

Registration is free for “Neurodegenerative Diseases: Emerging mechanisms and Therapeutic opportunities,” and the program and list of speakers is available here.
