Although this year’s March conference could not go ahead in physical form, the organizers have made the decision to replace the conference with a virtual event, live-streamed THIS THURSDAY from 10-3 pm ET and will be available for delegates after the event. A number of speakers were still keen to speak at the conference, and Society Street would like to provide a venue for our partners and colleagues to talk about the challenges societies face in a world where business can be disrupted so suddenly and dramatically.
Keynote speakers, Mary Williams (Features Editor, American Society of Plant Biologists) and Cindy Sparrow (Acting Deputy Chief, Community & Support Services at Red Deer Emergency Services) are well versed in dealing with change and will provide their thoughts on the current situation surrounding COVID-19 as well as their original topics.
