What about Authors? SSP Webinar Preview: Being Author Friendly

How can publishers attract and grow their author base, and be more author friendly?

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) will offer a webinar titled, “Being Author Friendly,” on October 16, 2018, at 11 am Eastern Time.

Registration for the event remains open with a discount available for SSP members.

How can publishers be more author friendly in today’s scholarly publishing world? Attracting authors is a competitive business for publishers, so what do they need to do to attract the best for their publications? This webinar looks at the services available to help publishers attract good authors – what tools and services should you use? Do they work?

Focused on the publishers’ perspective, this webinar will also consider the viewpoint of the author in this new publishing environment as well as the learned societies who are also keen to retain and attract new members and authors.

Ryan Looney at Overleaf will moderate a discussion among Andre Paul, CEO at Paperhive; Katherine Arundell, Head of Researcher Experience, Open Research at Springer Nature; and Lily Troia, Engagement Manager at Altmetric.
