Help shape SSP’s leadership. The Nominating and Awards Committee identifies candidates for the Board of Directors and officer positions and recognizes outstanding volunteer leadership through SSP’s service and leadership awards.
What does this committee do?
- Recruit and nominate candidates for Board and officer elections.
- Select recipients for SSP’s Appreciation, Distinguished Service, and Emerging Leader awards.
- Help ensure leadership nominations reflect the breadth and diversity of the scholarly communications community.
How does this committee work?
- Committee members are appointed by the immediate Past President and are not recruited through the annual volunteer application process.
- Meets as needed during the annual nominations and awards cycle.
- Members review nominations, conduct outreach, and evaluate candidates and award recipients.
