Our events keep you up-to-date and connected with the scholarly publishing community. In addition to timely programming, attendees can network with peers in a relaxed setting to round out their professional development experience. Whether you are in editorial, production, sales, marketing, product or project management, publishing IT, or digital content technology, our programming is aimed at all members of the diverse scholarly community.

  • Professional Development Package at the Supporting Level: Two free registrations to any SSP Seminar, Focus Group or Regional Event, plus two free registrations to any SSP Webinar.
  • Professional Development Package at the Sustaining Level: Four free registrations to any SSP Seminar, Focus Group or Regional Event, plus four free registrations to any SSP Webinar.

All staff of Member Organizations receive the member discount to attend SSP events!

SEMINARS and WORKSHOPS provide scholarly publishing professionals an opportunity to convene and discuss the latest trends and common challenges faced by our industry today. 

WEBINARS deliver highly informative, thought-provoking presentations designed to challenge and stimulate discussion, including the opportunity to hear from The Scholarly Kitchen’s insightful Chefs as they examine current trends and emerging publishing challenges. Webinars can be purchased as a package or individually, register for more and save!

REGIONAL EVENTS offer networking opportunities and topical discussions with scholarly publishing colleagues in your local region, ideal for early-career professionals as well as those looking to expand their network. Registration fees support community engagement initiatives, increasing peer-to-peer interaction, and collaboration among the membership.

CAE Approved Provider

Educational Levels are designations applied to program offerings to help you determine which events are most appropriate for your particular professional development needs. Levels include: Foundational, Applied, Strategic, Mixed-learning, and Networking. 

The Society for Scholarly Publishing is a CAE Approved Provider. The program(s) linked above meet the requirements for fulfilling the professional development requirements to earn or maintain the Certified Association Executive credential. Every program that we offer which qualifies for CAE credit will clearly identify the number of CAE credits granted for full participation, and we will maintain records of your participation in accord with CAE policies. In the unlikely event of cancellations, SSP is not responsible for any costs, damages, or other expenses of any kind, including and without limitation, transportation and/or hotel costs incurred by the registrant.
