Academic Publishing in Europe

APE is an ongoing international debate about the Future of Scholarly Communication & Scientific Publishing. Held in Berlin, Germany, in January, the APE Conferences aim at a better understanding of scholarly communication and the role of information in science, education, and society. They encourage the debate about the future of value-added scientific publishing, information dissemination, and access to scientific results and offer an independent forum for ‘open minds.’ SSP members receive a 25% discount on registration. Asian Council of Science Editors

The Asian Council of Science Editors (ACSE) is the first and the foremost organization in Asia that was developed with the aim to provide a unified and active platform for Asian editors and scholars where they can understand their editorial problems, learn about the solutions, and devotedly take up the future challenges to enhance the quality of Asian Scientific and Scholarly publications. ACSE provides skill enhancement training programs, workshops, and resources for best practices. Frankfurter Buchmesse

NASIG

NASIG is an independent, non-profit organization working to advance and transform the management of information resources. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate and improve the distribution, acquisition, and long-term accessibility of information resources in all formats and business models. NASIG is also the proud moderator of the SERIALST discussion list since 2014. SSP members receive a discounted registration rate for NASIG webinars. National Information Standards Organization (NISO)

NISO, the National Information Standards Organization, is a non-profit association accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). We identify, develop, maintain, and publish technical standards and recommended practices to manage information in today’s continually changing digital environment. NISO standards apply to both traditional and new technologies and to information across its whole lifecycle, from creation through documentation, use, repurposing, storage, metadata, and preservation.
