SSP Welcomes Crystal Stone Onboard as SSP General Manager

The Society for Scholarly Publishing is pleased to announce Crystal Stone as the new General Manager. Crystal is an accomplished association management professional with more than 12 years of expertise in helping organizations and volunteers reach new levels of success.

“Crystal brings a broad range of experience and skills to the role of the General Manager,” said Melanie Dolechek, SSP Executive Director. “We are looking forward to partnering with her and the Kellen staff as the Society for Scholarly Publishing continues to grow.”

The position of General Manager focuses on the day-to-day operations aspect of the SSP and manages the multiple projects and staff that drive the organizations goals forward. Crystal’s skill in improving efficiency and staff development are an excellent fit for the needs of the society. Prior to joining Kellen in 2015, Crystal worked in a variety of non-profit settings including foundation management, religious organizations, and stand-alone professional membership associations. Crystal is a certified Project Manager, attaining her PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in 2010.

“I am looking forward to working with the Board, Executive Director, and members of the Society for Scholarly Publishing,” Stone said. “The volunteers with this organization are incredibly active and involved and I am excited to help them achieve the goals of the SSP.”
