Will is Silverchair’s Chief Product and Customer Success Officer. In these roles he looks after the core Silverchair Platform and Silverchair’s growing client community. He guides their product, marketing, client services, and customer success teams. He has a deep knowledge of scholarly publishing, having worked in the industry for over 18 years in product and publisher roles for leading commercial and society houses including, most recently, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (Science Magazine), SAGE Publications, the American Psychological Association, and Lippincott Williams and Wilkins.

Heather Flanagan, Technical Liaison for SeamlessAccess and Principal at Spherical Cow Consulting, comes from a position that the Internet is led by people, powered by words, and inspired by technology. She has been involved in leadership roles with some of the most technical, volunteer-driven organizations on the Internet, including IDPro as Principal Editor, the IETF, the IAB, and the IRTF as RFC Series Editor, ICANN as Technical Writer, and REFEDS as Coordinator, just to name a few. If there is work going on to develop new Internet standards, or discussions around the future of digital identity, she is interested in engaging in that work. Michael MarkeyMichael Markey, Vice President of Security and Governance, Atypon
With more than 20 years’ experience in project management, software development, and engineering, Mike joined Atypon in 2010 to oversee the company’s Project Management Office. Mike later assumed the role of chief client advocate, working closely with customers to understand their business goals and ensure their technology needs are being met. Previously, Mike was the director of professional services with Macrovision, whose eMeta division was acquired by Atypon in 2008. He has held various software engineering positions at Standard & Poor’s as well as at Lockheed Martin and other military contractors. He earned a BS in electrical engineering from Penn State University


Tracey RyanTracey Ryan, 
Senior Director, Publishing Technologies, SAGE Publications
With more than 25 years in publishing, Tracey Ryan currently serves as Senior Director for Publishing Technologies at SAGE Publishing. She leads a global technical team responsible for the delivery and support of SAGE’s online products and web sites. Prior to this role, Tracey spent ten years managing systems and teams specializing in content management, XML markup, accessibility, quality assurance, and development. Over the last 18 months Tracey has led initiatives to strengthen content security and data privacy for SAGE’s online products.
