Representing start-ups: Leslie McIntosh (CEO, Ripeta) and Violaine Iglesias (CEO & Co-founder, Cadmore Media)
Representing major U.S. societies: Jeff Lang (Assistant Director, Platform Development, American Chemical Society) and Paul Gee (Vice President, Digital Product Management and Development, The JAMA Network)
Current disruptions in scholarly communications mean that there may not have been a better time to innovate. What should you do if you want a slice of the action? Will you be better off driving change within an established publisher or vendor, or should you join a smaller, perhaps more agile player? The panel will discuss what it takes to innovate in a mission-driven industry and address questions of money, vendors, teams and success metrics. The audience will be able to participate and will have the final say to declare the winners!
