Many of the policies and procedures utilized by information professionals in publishing companies and libraries tend to center on the processing of print material. We still operate in a dual print & electronic world, especially given the fact that not all types of content can be online. Some institutions, however, have opted for electronic and online as much as possible. From publishers to societies to libraries, the recent trend in e-only is growing. Many challenges can arise in this kind of endeavor such as staffing and training as well as technological infrastructure.
