Webinar | TSK: The Future of Content Distribution

Tuesday, November 19 | 11:00 AM EST

In these topical webinars, chefs from the Scholarly Kitchen will moderate a panel of speakers addressing some of the most current issues and trends in the scholarly communications industry.

Journal articles are leaking from publisher platforms — from repositories, scholarly collaboration networks, and pirate sites. As a result, a declining share of usage is taking place on the publisher site. More importantly, a declining share is attributable to the library sales channel, as a result of which the value of the licensed content bundle may be under pressure. In this webinar, we will examine how publishers and librarians are thinking about these issues and some of the steps, from litigation to partnership development, they are taking to secure their businesses for the future.

Moderator:

Roger Schonfeld, Director, Libraries, Scholarly Communication, and Museums, Ithaka S+R
