Data Conversion Laboratory, CIDM, and RWS Launch Digital Transformation Survey

Identifying Where Various Industries are on the Adoption of Processes, Technology, and Tools

January 28, 2022 – Data Conversion Laboratory (DCL), an industry leader in structured data and content transformations, along with industry partners the Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM), and RWS today announce the launch of a survey to identify where organizations are in digital transformation initiatives.

Digital transformation is often defined as the process of using digital technologies to create or optimize business processes to improve company and customer experience and meet changing customer demand and market requirements. Beyond simply creating and using digital assets, digital transformation is a strategic initiative that spans across all departments and has become increasingly critical for business success.

Efforts to achieve a true digital transformation may involve spending thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars to purchase new tools and technologies. No matter how many new tools and systems and how much money is put toward transforming an organization, a large piece of the digital transformation puzzle also comprises content transformation.

“This survey aims to understand where various industries are on the adoption of processes, technology, tools, and information architecture that improves their customers’ experience,” explains Marianne Calilhanna, VP of Marketing at Data Conversion Laboratory. “We believe that businesses starting from the ground up with intelligent content and data structure are poised to achieve real innovation and successfully embrace technologies like AI and machine learning.”

Together the three organizations bring key perspectives and experience to the technologies related to digital transformation—technology services (DCL), strategic consulting (CIDM), and software (RWS). The survey is currently accepting input across all markets, and results will be analyzed and shared.

DCL is a trusted resource to content-centric organizations and provides a range of digital transformation and content structure services. With the latest advances in artificial intelligence and natural language processing, DCL’s services improve content discovery and interoperability.
