For immediate release, April 26th , 2019 – Kudos, the award-winning service for accelerating research impact, and Good for Kids, a healthy eating and activity program led by the New South Wales Government’s Hunter New England Population Health, have announced the launch of the first Kudos Pro “project profile”. The Physical Activity for Everyone project showcase will maximise the engagement with and impact potential of the Good for Kids project.
The project profile is the first public output from Kudos Pro, a new platform – officially launching in summer 2019 – for planning, tracking and reporting on research engagement and impact activities. The Good for Kids team have participated in a pre-launch co-development phase (https://blog.growkudos.com/2018/12/07/kudos-announces-first-research-groups-to-join-its-new-dissemination-management-service/) through which they have now made public the first Kudos Pro “project profile” page. This page, which acts as a showcase for the project and its research objects and outputs, includes a summary of what the program is about and why it is important, along with “behind-the-research” perspectives from some of the researchers involved. Research outputs currently made more discoverable by the project profile include videos, slides, posters as well as publications.
“We really like the structure of the Kudos Pro project page, which makes it quick and easy for a research group to set up a simple project website,” says Matthew Mclaughlin, PhD Scholar at Good for Kids, Hunter New England Population Health. “The focus on what our
project is about and why it is important helps to draw out the impact potential of our work, and I like that we can update this – and the links to project outputs – at any time. The ability to create a tailored dissemination plan, with specific activities and tasks assigned to our team, is also a
key feature for us.”
