A Comprehensive Publishing Resource Powered by SSP
October 6, 2020 – Mt. Laurel, NJ – The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) is excited to announce the official launch of Solutions Source for Scholarly Communications, a comprehensive public resource for the publishing community to find service providers across the industry, stay on top of scholarly communication events, and discover new opportunities!
This new Service Directory offered by SSP boasts an abundance of new features for publishers, freelancers, and service providers, including direct user control over content listings, detail-rich pages searchable by category, keyword, and location, as well as linked Industry Event listings.
The Industry Event Directory offers a place to learn about upcoming scholarly communications industry meetings and events worldwide. SSP invites organizations to take advantage of free standard event listings for industry events.
The Freelancer Directory offers free basic listings for individuals providing contract services to the scholarly communications industry. Organizations looking for the right talent to complete a short-term or specialized project on a contract basis can easily find those looking to take on new opportunities.
”Scholarly communications has long lacked a central hub for industry professionals to access comprehensive information about products, services, and industry events,” said Melanie Dolechek, SSP Executive Director. “The lack of in-person events in 2020 has diminished our ability to learn about potential partners and tailored solutions for publishers. We’ve traditionally relied on exhibit halls and trade shows to seek out and stumble upon these opportunities, but now Solutions Source is the newest year-round resource for making these important connections and staying up-to-date on upcoming industry events.”
SSP invites interested parties to visit the registration page and select their preferred listing type from one of several directory options. For information about adding a listing, banner ad, or sponsored content to Solutions Source, contact Christina DeRose, SSP Industry Relations Manager. For information about adding an event or freelancer listing to Solutions Source, contact Jacklyn Lord, SSP Marketing and Operations Manager.
