Gareth is a prolific scientific author, researcher, content creator, and journal manager. Gareth brings to Maverick deep experience at the interface between research and publishing, helping non-native English speakers publish their work and understand the scholarly publishing processes.
Emilie McDermott, Affiliate Senior Associate
With a broad background and expertise in both academic books and journals, Emilie provides editorial management solution support to publishers, editors, and journal owners. With past positions at both Emerald and Clarivate, she also has a wealth of knowledge in the areas of rights and permissions, research integrity, and peer review system suppliers.
Dr Hilary Crichton, Senior Associate
Hilary has spent nearly two decades in scholarly publishing, working for not-for-profit, commercial, and society publishers such as the Royal Society of Chemistry and Wiley, both in the U.K. and the U.S. With a particular focus on supporting journal growth and optimising author, reviewer and editor experience, she has streamlined editorial workflows, reconfigured manuscript submission systems and revised production procedures for publishers and societies alike.
Dean is a publishing professional who brings over three decades of experience to the Maverick team. He is the former Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), responsible for the planning and implementation of marketing and sales strategies within the US and internationally.
Jessica Chesnutt, Affiliate Senior Associate
Jessica Chesnutt is a digital publishing and society support expert with experience across strategy, technology, editorial, sales, and marketing. She has spent over 17 years in scholarly and academic publishing, including Oxford University Press. She specializes in digital product and platform development, migration, and transition.
Stefan Kendzierskyj, Affiliate Senior Associate
Stefan has an extensive, executive level background with technology solution-led companies servicing the publishing, fintech, government, and cybersecurity sectors. He has previously served in senior roles in Client Management and Business Development for The Stationery Office (part of Williams Lea) and as Executive Vice President for Sales with Impelsys Inc.
