New Peer Review System Migration Toolkit from Scholastica

Scholastica announces the release of a new free “Peer Review System Migration Toolkit” to help journal publishers and editors navigate the process of adopting or changing peer review software.

The Toolkit, which is software agnostic to support teams moving to any peer review system, features:

The Peer Review System Migration Handbook: A comprehensive guide to establishing a software transition plan, spanning best practices for project management, software requirements assessment, data cleaning and transfer, onboarding new users, and more

The Migration Coordination Checklist: An interactive planning spreadsheet that includes the core phases of a successful peer review system transition, associated action steps, and task-tracking columns

The Migration Coordination Checklist can also be adapted to Kanban-style project management tools like Trello and includes instructions to do so.

After selecting peer review software, the hardest part of the transition process for so many publishers and editors is getting started. “The Peer Review System Migration Toolkit” is designed to help journal teams kick off migration planning and implementation with minimal disruptions to editorial operations, including tips for achieving desired workflow improvements in their new system.

The Peer Review System Migration Toolkit is free to download at: https://lp.scholasticahq.com/peer-review-system-migration-toolkit/
