Roster Info

A full roster has volunteer leads for each Regional and CoIN group. | Current Roster

Tasks & Projects

  • Regional groups: Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, UK, and Berlin

  • CoIN Groups: Early Career Professionals, Humanities and Social Sciences, AI
  • More as needed

Expectations

  • One short meeting per month where we share updates and insights from the various sub-committees, with occasional communication in between, which happens via our SSP forum
  • Sub-committees decide between themselves how often to meet; we ask that at least one representative from each sub-committee attends the monthly CEC call or contributes a written update that can be shared.

The CEC aligns with Community and Inclusivity in bringing diverse stakeholders across the scholarly publishing industry together to contribute wide-ranging perspectives that increase opportunity and improve peer relationships. The CEC incorporates DEIA in all its activities and programs and makes a home for scholarly communications professionals at every career stage worldwide. We strive to improve and expand the notion of community for every SSP member!

  • Expand your professional network outside your organization
  • Develop new skills and gain new experiences – lead a sub-committee, organize an event, attend committee meetings either to contribute ideas or hear from other members
  • Contribute insights and ideas that result in improved resources and education for the wider scholarly publishing community
